    Atlassian Cloud Transformation Seamless Experiences

    The German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) is the umbrella organization for the industrial employers' liability insurance associations and the public sector accident insurance providers. The nine industrial employers' liability insurance associations are organized by industry. The public sector accident insurance providers are divided into 16 accident insurance funds, three municipal accident insurance associations, four fire department accident insurance funds, and the federal and railway accident insurance providers. 

    Modernization and restructuring of internal collaboration with Atlassian Cloud Tools

    The DGUV needed to migrate existing Atlassian server environments to the cloud and restructure how it worked with the tools. Particular attention was paid to modernizing the Atlassian tool landscape and rebuilding Jira Service Management to replace an existing service desk tool. At the same time, there was a need to expand users' knowledge of process structuring and application functions. Training courses for employees and administrators were therefore planned, and guidelines and rules for the future-oriented use of the tools were drawn up.

    Successful Atlassian cloud migration and consolidation

    Based on the project requirements, Nortal procured and consolidated the necessary Atlassian license subscriptions. During tool setup, smooth communication between products was ensured. User management in Jira Software and Confluence was updated and user groups were consolidated. The Atlassian products previously used locally were successfully migrated to the cloud within the agreed schedule.

    Creation of more efficient support processes

    The Jira Service Management product is currently undergoing a joint restructuring process. The new Jira Service Management will replace the existing service desk tool and enable the successful integration of service management with Confluence knowledge management. The seamless tool connection between service and knowledge management is intended to avoid redundancies in support requests and make the processing of requests significantly more efficient.

    Process optimization and cloud tool training

    Throughout the project, Nortal will advise DGUV on optimizing processes and services using the tools and on the technical administration of the systems. Training courses for employees and administrators are planned for the later stages of the project to prepare them optimally for the future use of the cloud tools.
