About the company

PlayOn! Sports is a premier high school digital media company that connects fans nationwide to their favorite sporting events. Today, it offers live streams at thousands of high schools across the U.S., easily purchased through its digital ticketing platform. At the same time, it’s a leader in sports coverage, scores, statistics and more. Since 2013, PlayOn! has worked in partnership with the NFHS Network to manage the media rights of athletics associations and spotlight student-athletes, student broadcasters and more.

Challenge

As the nation’s leading high school media company, PlayOn! Sports was looking to extend its live streaming and digital ticketing capabilities.  

Specifically, PlayOn! needed to bolster its technical teams to seamlessly handle its expansion plans. To that end, it required 24 additional senior professionals who were:

  • Technically excellent in their fields
  • Available in the local time zone
  • Culturally aligned with PlayOn! teams
  • English proficient for optimal collaboration

Ultimately, PlayOn! trusted Nortal to increase its technical power and streamline its expansion efforts. As a result, the extended teams would help boost ticket sales from fans across the country.  

Solution

To meet its ambitious expansion plans, PlayOn! needed to fill 24 vacancies across eight specialized roles. What’s more, it was looking to scale up this extra manpower within just six months.  

Our mission was to build a strong technical team for PlayOn! within this timeframe, so that it could successfully roll-out key streaming and ticketing services. The stakes were high to bring the right talent to the table and make its expansion strategy a home run.

As a result, we filled all required roles for PlayOn! with an average time-to-fill of 29 workdays and an average time-to-sit of 32 workdays. With our rapid and precise hiring services, the extended technical team was set up for success almost immediately.
