Originally founded in 2000 as Webmedia by three guys in Tartu, Estonia, the company quickly grew into a renowned authority in e-government strategy and solutions. We are proud to say that we have planned and implemented over 40% of Estonia’s digital disruption, which means we have unique experience in building a digital, seamless society.

In 2012, we changed our name to Nortal, which we feel describes us better today. Nortal stands for Nordic talent (Nor-Tal): and along with Estonia’s top talent, you’ll find Finnish production excellence, as well as the best marketing skills from Sweden at Nortal. On top of all that, we have the capacity to deliver globally.
With more than 800 professionals from different fields, we are passionate about making life easier for others. Just recently, we built a new business register for Oman — you can now register a company in Oman in less than three minutes. As a result, Oman’s rating rose 127 places in the World Bank’s ease of doing business rankings.

We have grown from a small shop in South Estonia to a global company with offices around the world. Besides the Nordics, you can find our offices in Germany, Lithuania, Serbia, Oman, Dubai, and the U.S. We are present in 10 countries and we are doing work in four regions: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America.

What we do globally
We work to build a seamless society that stands on three pillars — enterprise, e-health, and e-government. In each of these three areas, we have helped very influential customers achieve strategic change and build better experiences.
In addition to this, we have centered our work around seven key concepts, enhanced by competences of our Cloud Transformations, Design Lab and Big Data experts. It is within these concepts that we mean to create societal impact by working together with governments, healthcare organizations, and businesses around the world.

Our experience is especially valuable as it allows us to offer what other IT companies cannot: the ability to help our customers set their strategic goals, and to comb through legislation to uncover what needs to be changed and how to manage the change. This is particularly important as 80% of the work done in any large-scale project comes down to the strategy and change management circle. Only 20% of a project is building the right technology and IT solutions.
