Nortal appoints Marko Kaseleht as Senior Vice President for Defence

Kaseleht is transitioning from his role as CEO of SensusQ, a provider of intelligence operations data management software. Moving forward, he will continue to support SensusQ as a board member and strategic advisor.

He is currently also serving on the Supervisory Board of the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industry Association (EDIA) and mentoring dual-use technology startups through NATO DIANA and other accelerators.

With over two decades of experience encompassing military leadership, defence innovation, and strategic development, Kaseleht’s 13-year career in the Estonian Defence Forces included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2014, he transitioned to the defence industry. In 2020, he founded SensusQ, a company at the forefront of intelligence management software for complex environments.

Nortal began a collaboration with SensusQ earlier this year, and according to Smitt, this partnership will continue. "Our cooperation with SensusQ focuses on immediately integrable and scalable intelligence data collection and processing solutions that enhance security and situational awareness, enabling faster response times and reducing operational costs," Smitt added. 

The appointment comes as we continue to expand our defence business area. Earlier in the year, we announced appointing former Royal Navy Rear Admiral as Global Defence Lead and that we have been selected as an approved supplier for NATO under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) framework.  

In March this year, we also re-branded 3DOT Solutions Limited, a well-known UK cybersecurity consultancy and a certified supplier to the UK Armed Forces and Intelligence Services, which we acquired at the end of 2024. We are also part of two high-tech consortiums that have recently secured funding from the European Defence Fund, amounting to total of €60M for the CITADEL Range, and €50M for the iMUGS2 project.
