Finnish IT media Tivi reports on our new international partnership to co-develop a Battlefield Management System (BMS)
based on the field-tested Redback combat vehicle, designed to meet the needs of NATO allies. Together with Estonian software company SensusQ, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hanwha Aerospace to build the solution, a significant step toward advancing next-generation defence technologies.
The system, built on a modular architecture, enables rapid integration not only with Redback but also with a wide range of other combat vehicles. It is designed to deliver real-time, multi-domain decision support, automated intelligence data processing, and secure coalition-ready interoperability.
According to Harri Vepsäläinen, CEO of Nortal Finland, the collaboration establishes a foundation for long-term, trusted international cooperation to meet the evolving challenges of modern warfare:
Villiko Nurmoja, founder of SensusQ, described the agreement as a milestone for Estonia’s defence industry:
“Combining Hanwha Aerospace’s advanced platform with Nortal’s and SensusQ’s agility and innovation is shaping the next generation of battle management systems, tailored to the operational needs of modern armies. For SensusQ, it is both an honor and a responsibility to contribute our expertise in developing solutions that improve situational awareness and decision-making.”
Although financial details were not disclosed, the announcement underlines the importance of multinational collaboration in enhancing digital defence capabilities. Explore the full article in Finnish on Tivi.
