With low-code adoption accelerating globally, organizations are under pressure to modernize legacy systems, streamline operations, and connect data across platforms without lengthy development cycles. The Microsoft Low Code Application Development specialization recognizes Nortal’s experience in delivering secure, scalable and high-performing low-code solutions that meet these demands.

Based on Microsoft partner listings, only around 200 partners worldwide hold the Low Code Application Development specialization. Earning it requires demonstrated customer impact and an independent assessment by Microsoft, including proof of live Power Apps deployments, active user adoption, and sustained growth across customer environments.
To qualify, partners must demonstrate successful delivery of Power Apps solutions to multiple customers, with each application running in a live production environment, supported by active users and paid Power Apps licenses. Microsoft also verifies sustained customer growth, including growth in monthly active users across the partner’s customer base over the past 12 months. In addition, partners must hold the appropriate Solutions Partner designation and maintain certified expertise across functional consulting, development and solution architecture.
The specialization also increases visibility in Microsoft AppSource and adds a customer-facing label to the partner profile, making it easier for organizations to identify trusted experts.
“This recognition highlights our ability to deliver production‑ready Power Platform solutions. Our teams help customers solve operational challenges with secure and scalable applications across healthcare, government, and enterprise environments.”, says Tuomo Peltonen, Head of Business Solutions Studio in Finland organization.
We earned the specialization by delivering Power Platform solutions that replace manual processes with applications that integrate with existing systems and support daily operations in production.
One example is Nortal’s collaboration with Project Courage, a leading outpatient mental health center in Connecticut. Nortal replaced manual, paper-based workflows with a fully integrated Power Platform solution, achieving 100% digitization of targeted clinical and operational processes. The implementation accelerated admissions, reduced manual data handling and enabled real-time decision-making in a live production environment.
Another example comes from Southwest Finland, where TYKS Compass Hospital transformed its outpatient psychiatry operations by adopting Nortal’s automated Space Resource Management application. The solution replaced fragmented, manual room‑allocation routines with a centralized system that dynamically assigns consultation rooms based on real-time clinical needs. This automation improved visibility into room availability, reduced administrative workload, and ensured smoother daily workflows for healthcare professionals. As a result, the hospital achieved a 30–40% reduction in required facility space, avoiding unnecessary construction costs while supporting a more efficient, flexible care model.
Nortal’s Power Platform team includes certified functional consultants, developers and solution architects who design secure and scalable solutions built for long-term impact.
Microsoft Power Platform enables organizations to deliver business applications significantly faster than traditional development approaches, helping reduce timelines from months to weeks. With millions of monthly active low-code makers worldwide, the platform continues to mature and scale globally.
Low-code modernization can also deliver substantial cost efficiencies. By refactoring and integrating legacy systems step by step, organizations can reduce development and modernization costs while lowering long-term maintenance complexity.
At the same time, enterprise-grade governance models allow organizations to scale low-code adoption securely. With a growing majority of IT leaders planning to increase low-code investments, structured governance and architectural oversight are becoming critical success factors.
Microsoft Power Apps is consistently recognized as a leader in the low-code market by industry analysts, providing a trusted and enterprise-validated foundation for mission-critical solutions.
Low code represents more than a faster way to build applications. It enables organizations to empower their teams, integrate data across silos and respond more quickly to change.
As the low-code market continues to expand, specialized partners play a central role in helping organizations turn platform capabilities into measurable business outcomes. With the Microsoft Low Code Application Development specialization, Nortal further strengthens its ability to deliver that impact at scale.
"In Nortal's Microsoft Studio, our experience across the Power Platform ecosystem, developing solutions for customers as well as internally, has allowed us to build strong expertise and long-term client trust across the Americas market. The Low Code Application Development Specialization reflects this experience and our continued commitment to delivering value," commented Nortal's Microsoft Technical Pre-Sales Specialist Luis López.
