Tejarah Talks: exploring the critical relationship between cities and businesses

As urbanization continues to drive global growth, cities are becoming more important to business and vice versa. In fact, partnership and collaboration between the two is resulting in meaningful advancements in sustainable economic growth, resilience and quality of life.

We are excited to share that Taavi Einaste, our CEO for Middle East and Africa, will be taking part in the next Tejarah Talks panel discussion titled “Cities & Business: A Winning Partnership for Progress”. The event is taking place on 1 November at 7:30pm GST at the Zain Auditorium, Omantel HQ, Airport Heights in Muscat, Oman.

What are Tejarah Talks?

Tejarah Talks, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) of Oman, bring together panels of experts, business and thought leaders in a series of interactive and informal discussion-led evening sessions to examine key issues shaping Oman’s business landscape, influencing the sultanate’s socio-economic environment and impacting investment.

Maymuna Al Adawi, Director, PPP, MoCIIP

Cooperation between Omani cities and businesses has far-reaching positive impacts, ranging from creating jobs and attracting investment to enhancing well-being and meeting our 2050 net-zero targets.

In this edition of Tejarah Talks, we’ll be investigating how Oman’s cities and businesses can work together in a mutually beneficial partnership and accelerate progress towards the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

In particular, we’ll be looking for answers to three key questions:

  2. What can Omani cities do for business?
  3. What partnerships for progress can they build together?

The discussion will take place between:

  • Taavi Einaste, CEO, Middle East and Africa, Nortal
  • Wael Al Lawati, CEO, Muriya
  • Ibrahim Waili, Executive Director, Oman National Spatial Strategy, Ministry of Housing & Urban Planning
  • Haitham Busafi, CEO, Beyond XYZ

The session will be moderated by Luma Al Saleh, Co-founder, Identity.
