CNBC: The role of technology in transforming Africa

Technology plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of public administration and supporting economic growth. Increasing adoption of AI, in particular, is set to accelerate Africa’s development journey, said our Business Area Director Artur Assor to CNBC Africa.

In the interview, recorded during the recent Connected Africa Summit 2024, Artur highlighted initiatives, such as the digitalization of tax authorities, that contribute to revenue generation for governments but also create an environment for business growth and investment.

He also emphasized that technology doesn’t just have the power to empower communities, but also to uplift individuals by equipping them with new skills and opportunities, offering avenues for poverty alleviation.
