    Nortal Christmas Give: purpose-driven support for local communities

    As the holiday season fills the air with joy and generosity, Nortal has chosen to celebrate in a meaningful way by giving back to the communities in the countries where we operate. We embraced the spirit of giving by supporting local charities in Bulgaria, Poland and Ukraine.

    This initiative, named Nortal Christmas Give, reflects our commitment to making a positive impact, both globally and locally. With a donation of 25 EUR per employee, totaling 19,375 EUR, we are proud to contribute to nine incredible organizations that are driving change locally.

    Making a difference in Ukraine

    In Ukraine, where many face the ongoing challenges of war and its aftermath, we directed our contributions to three inspiring organizations:

    • Крила Надії (Wings of Hope): An organization dedicated to providing essential medical assistance to children and families facing severe illnesses. They cover costs for treatments, rehabilitation and other critical services. With Nortal's support, the organization will be able to fund life-saving treatments, purchase specialized medical equipment, and ensure children have access to therapies that improve their quality of life. The donation also helps alleviate the financial burden on families, enabling them to focus on their loved ones’ recovery.
    • UAnimals: UAnimals helps animals affected by the war by providing shelter, food, and veterinary care to those in need. Nortal’s donation will support rescue missions in conflict zones, fund vet treatments for injured animals, and help maintain shelters where animals can recover and live safely. Additionally, the funds will help supply food and essential items to displaced or abandoned animals, giving them a chance at survival and eventual adoption into loving homes.
    • Support Service ICF (МБФ Служба Підтримки): A foundation that provides critical aid to both military personnel and civilians affected by the war. Their work includes delivering medical supplies, emergency kits, and winter clothing to soldiers on the front lines. For civilians, especially displaced families, they offer immediate humanitarian assistance such as food, clothing and essential household items. Nortal’s contribution will be used to fund these efforts, ensuring timely delivery of aid to those who need it most. The support will also help expand their initiatives to meet the growing demands in war-affected areas.

    Empowering communities in Bulgaria

    In Bulgaria, our donations are helping organizations that uplift individuals and preserve cultural traditions:

    • Foundation Eyes on Four Paws: A foundation that trains guide dogs to assist individuals with visual impairments, giving them greater independence and mobility. Nortal's support will cover the extensive training required for the dogs, including obedience, socialization, and specialized guiding techniques. The donation will also help fund the care and upkeep of the dogs during their training and support outreach programs that connect these remarkable companions with people who need them. Ultimately, this funding empowers individuals to lead more independent and confident lives.
    • P.U.L.S. Foundation: Dedicated to survivors of domestic violence, this foundation provides crisis intervention, counseling, and education programs. Nortal’s contribution will be used to support their services, including providing therapy sessions and conducting awareness campaigns to prevent abuse. The funds will also help train professionals who support survivors, ensuring they receive the best care and guidance as they rebuild their lives.
    • Rusalya School of Arts and Crafts: This organization focuses on preserving traditional Bulgarian crafts while providing educational opportunities to underprivileged children. Nortal's donation will enable the school to purchase materials for workshops, fund educational programs and organize events that inspire creativity. Additionally, the support will help foster skill development among the children, equipping them with practical abilities that can improve their future prospects while keeping Bulgaria’s cultural heritage alive.

    Spreading warmth in Poland

    In Poland, we extended our support to charities that offer care, companionship and shelter to those in need:

    • Alma Spei: This organization offers home hospice care for terminally ill children, providing medical, psychological, and emotional support to families during their most challenging times. Nortal’s donation will help fund specialized equipment, as well as essential medications. The contribution will also support the organization’s dedicated team of caregivers, ensuring they have the resources needed to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to children and their families.
    • Wigilia dla Seniora: This heartwarming initiative ensures that seniors who might otherwise spend the holidays alone can experience joy, warmth and community. Nortal's donation will fund festive meals, gifts, and activities designed to bring people together. The initiative also includes organizing holiday gatherings where seniors can socialize and feel valued, creating a sense of belonging and reminding them they are cherished members of society.
    • Kraków Shelter for Homeless Animals: This shelter provides a safe shelter for stray and abandoned animals, ensuring they receive the care they need. Nortal's support will be used to fund daily operations, including food, medical treatments, and maintenance of the shelter facilities. The donation will also assist in running adoption programs, helping the animals find loving homes. Additionally, part of the funding will be directed toward veterinary care for injured or ill animals, giving them a second chance at a better life.
