09:15-09:45 21 mills and counting: Metsä Group's industrial data, one governed API away

Speakers: Ari Linja, Solution Owner, IIoT, Metsä Group and Ergin Tuganay, Head of Data & AI, Nortal 

Metsä Group's mills across Europe stream operational data in real time into one cloud platform. 21 mills are connected today, and more keep joining. It offers two views of the same data: the process telemetry itself, in the tag names automation specialists already work in, and a digital twin model giving selected equipment and processes a standardized shape for analytics. Both are one managed, secured and developer-friendly API away. That opens the data to everyone who needs it and keeps ownership and control with Metsä Group.

Ari Linja and Ergin Tuganay will walk through what that took: a standardized edge platform at each site and a cloud platform on Microsoft Azure, built inside Metsä Group's own cloud and data strategy rather than beside it, with DevOps in every layer.
