Nortal has appointed Mirva Ylijoki as Head of Finance in Finland. She joins Nortal from CGI and brings long experience in financial management in the technology sector.

Finnish IT Magazine Tivi writes about Mirva Ylijoki joining Nortal Finland’s leadership team as Head of Finance.

Ylijoki has more than 20 years of experience in financial management roles in the technology sector. She has previously worked at Automaster, a software company that is now part of the multinational Keyloop Group. Before joining Nortal, Ylijoki worked at CGI, where she was responsible for the Global Technology Operation unit’s finances in Finland.

“At Nortal, I want to help develop global processes and make our workflows even smoother. While finance is still often viewed as a necessary burden, my goal is to transform it into a service that delivers real value to the business,” Ylijoki says, emphasizing that the most important role of finance remains supporting the business in its everyday operations.

Her appointment supports the company’s strategy and growth.

According to Ylijoki, sustainable growth is possible only when guided by a realistic course and when momentum does not overshadow clear goal-setting.

“The difference between a good Head of Finance and an excellent one is that both understand the numbers and the business, but an excellent Head of Finance also considers the people behind the numbers”, she concludes.
