“The technology sector is changing fast, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence. What convinced me to join Nortal is the ability to respond quickly and turn ideas into real solutions with customers", Ylijoki says.
Ylijoki has more than 20 years of experience in financial management roles in the technology sector. She has previously worked at Automaster, a software company that is now part of the multinational Keyloop Group. Before joining Nortal, Ylijoki worked at CGI, where she was responsible for the Global Technology Operation unit’s finances in Finland.
Her appointment supports the company’s strategy and growth.
"Mirva brings broad financial expertise, a business‑driven perspective, and an approachable working style that fits our culture. Controlled growth requires a clear view of where and when to invest, and financial leadership plays a central role in that”, explains Harri Vepsäläinen, CEO at Nortal Finland.
According to Ylijoki, sustainable growth is possible only when guided by a realistic course and when momentum does not overshadow clear goal-setting.
“The difference between a good Head of Finance and an excellent one is that both understand the numbers and the business, but an excellent Head of Finance also considers the people behind the numbers”, she concludes.
