Nortal is growing rapidly in all our offices all around the world. With new expansion, our Talent Acquisition team has been a critical pillar in our business to ensure that we are recruiting top-notch talent to join our business. We sat down with our Talent Acquisition Recruiting Team at Nortal North America and found the three key aspects they look for when searching for new experts to join our team.  

Technical background and expertise  

In any case, we want to ensure that people joining our team have the appropriate skills and background to make an impact. With Nortal working with large Fortune 500 companies, we look for the best of the best. Certifications are great, but understanding what candidates have built, how technically curious they are, and how they apply their knowledge is greater. The desire to be part of something and contribute to the growth of everyone on the team makes a big difference in our culture. 

Willingness to grow  

While searching for experts, we are drawn to candidates who are willing to continue to develop their skills and grow in new areas. Most of our technical hires have pet projects where they try out new technologies. They are masters in an area but seek mastery in other skills too. We hire agile individuals who are always looking for new opportunities to further their education.  

Soft skills 

Technology and people go hand in hand. At Nortal, we are people first, technologists second. Our clients work with us because of our people and culture, and our employees join and stay for the exact same reason. Yes – we are amazing technologists but if you can’t lead with the human element, it doesn’t matter. Interviews tell a lot about how candidates will interact with people in the workplace. Technical and functional skills are table stakes in a consulting firm, but positive interactions make all the difference. Our teams are very tight knit, so finding someone that is advanced in their craft while also fitting in with our inclusive culture is important.
