by Mari-Liis Kariste, Summer University Project Manager, February 27, 2018

Dreaming about a career in IT? Now is the time to challenge yourself far beyond the limits of traditional education and immerse yourself in real-world projects at Nortal’s Summer University. Registration deadline is April 4, 2018!

We have been organizing our Summer University training program since 2005 and during this time we have recruited hundreds of new analysts, testers and developers, who are today among our brightest colleagues and leaders.

Summer University is an integral part of how Nortal develops the next generation of talent and is a fundamental part of our growth. In fact, all junior level recruiting takes place via this program.

Nortal Summer University: Real work on real projects with a real salary from day one

Why? We are looking for the best new talent and want to provide them with the best opportunities within our company. Our aim is to help them live up to their full potential and follow their ambitions.

For this reason, we have developed and fine-tuned the Summer University into a unique program, offering new graduates the best environment to unleash their potential thorough mentoring and tailored onboarding plan.

Real work from day one

Being the newbie on the team does not mean Summer University recruits are bound for coffee runs or taking care of some leftover tasks. On the contrary, from day one it is real work on real projects with a real salary.

The training wheels come off as soon as you enter Summer University. Although, a support system with colleagues and a mentor is always close by for guidance whenever you need it during these four months.

Last year, we received an unprecedented 1,130 applications. After thorough testing and meetings with the hiring teams, there were 43 bright soon-to-be specialists selected who started work at Nortal in 2017.

Now, registration is open in Estonia, Finland, Lithuania and Serbia for Summer University 2018. Application deadline is April 4, 2018. We are eagerly waiting to meet the new talent who will join us this year!
